I’ve tried this in TrueNAS Electric Eel RC2 and release, following the same procedure:
1: Wipe the disk I want to add.
2: Hit the expand button on the pool.
3: Click the checkbox and ok it.
Then the machine does its thing, and pops up a message saying successful.
However, the drive still shows as unused.
My config: a VM on Proxmox with an LSi HBA passed through. The HBA connects to the backplanes through a sas expander. The backplanes host 12 4TB SAS drives, mostly HGST drives but with a few others. All drives show as 3.64TiB in the UI.
Current setup is a 9 wide Z2 pool, I’d like to add one or two of the extra drives to the pool. Two of the extra three are currently set up as hot spares.
I have check the pool has all the flags.
And I have no ideas why it’s not doing the thing.
