Never heard of smartemail, will have a look, if it doesn’t have a web server as well as port 25 in the sam instance I can’t give up what I have had for 30 years, because email from a web server is my preferred method to create a DB tuple
I created a SMTP2Go acct. in 2018, but found they were using round robin DNS but even though they have less servers now ( see below )
Linode from 20+ years experience have been in our top 5 spam attempts, when we evaluated their service we found email wasn’t being delivered due to the smtp2go ( Linode SMTP ) being in the blacklist.
Plus I installed SMTP for gov.nz & SMTP2Go didn’t win the tender for external SMTP ISP & I cannot say more than that as its “Need 2 Know”
If SMTP2Go had their own IPV4 servers & I could see they were ! in the BL I would be there in a heart beat.
Smartermail is full blown email server and web interface. It can do everything all built in. It is very configurable to use with its own smtp or use a gateway service.
I have been using smtp2go for 8+ years, high rate of delivery, takes care of spf, dkim and dmarc and great at monitoring and dealing with any spam control. But this is just my preference and doesnt have anything to do with smartermail.
N O - I’m not talking about a Port 80 server with a web UI, I’m talking about Port 25 & Port 80 in the same server.
I started this program of deved 25+ years ago & used email as a transport to create tuples & like the banks who are hocked on CICS cobol I’m hocked on C & ASM
My ego would allow me to say I have found all the bugs in No Spam Accepted & with the technique Dedicated Email Addressing, but my training at 4 x Uni. courses tells me I should be open to Bug Tech.
Different strokes for different folkes, I have a history of tracking IPV4 going back ~30 years which tells me don’t go near smtp2go
Do you know what BGP is, that is how smtp2go can say “We are innocent”, while countries like .cn hoover up email. This was happening yesterday in Oz, they think the white hats don’t notice when IT is a public holiday !!!
