XO sources IPMI plugin?

I seem to be missing something from my XO sources that I’d very much like, that being host temperature. There is a thread on the XCP forums about this and some people have this working and I’d like to join the club. I used the ronivay scripts to install XO sources and may have missed this plugin during the install.

Anyway to get this installed on a from sources build?

I’d also very much like to add this for my lab which is desktop PC based, but I know the info is exposed because ESXi showed this info when I had it running.

I know it is working on the Dell servers I have wihout any extra configuration but it’s not working with my AsRock Rack X570D4U but I have not really dug into why.

Nothing on my Supermicro, but they also said they don’t have any Supermicro servers yet.

Is it a plugin or is it just supposed to be part of the base install? There was a suggestion to run a command calling ipmi.py in a recent thread, but I haven’t had time to look into this yet.

Big reason is I want to keep track of the temperature in the room where my servers are located. Went months with no cooling and room temps in the 80-90 F range while they waited to fix things. I need to pull the heatsink and clean/apply more compound once we get into January break, my firewall is showing +10 C over normal (45-50 C) so I know it has been “hurt”.

I seems to be just working on the Dell systems, I did not do anything.

Hmm… guess I’m out of luck until they get a Supermicro to test. My old gen8 HP didn’t show anything either.
