XCP-ng Windows VM NIC config changing on Reboot

Over the weekend our Windows server VMs reboot and now show 2 network adapters. Even though the network config for the VM only shows one network interface configured.
I shutdown the VM
Remove the VM’s network interface config
add VM’s network interface config
Start the VM
Then it is back to just one network adapter.
Any Ideas on what is causing this? This happed previously 3 months ago.
XCP-ng version 8.2

Do you have your xen tools to automatically install the I/O drivers?

The management agent is not installed on the Windows VM.
Would installing the management agent prevent this from happening?

It’s either that or it’s possible a windows update took place to update the drivers and it caused your issue.

I don’t know if it will resolve your issue but you should be using the xen tools for optimal performance and features.

Thanks for the advice.

So, I can confirm that installing the Xen Windows Agent fixed it and after rebooting the extra NIC that was showing as Intel Pro/1000 is gone.

There is currently a vulnerability in Xen Windows drivers (about 4 weeks ago), newer XO will alert you to this with red ! and a warning message at the top of the screen.

Saying this because if you use Windows to update/install the drivers, they could have changed at any time.
