I was doing some work on my production system, tossing old snapshots and getting ready to migrate all the VM to a second NAS (to do updates on the primary NAS). After deleting some old snapshots I noticed that I have a large number of base copies left over.
Is the proper way to remove these to use the “reclaim free space” tool or something else? Or will they go away on their own after the system scrubs (or something)?
I tried a few search terms and didn’t find a clear answer, I’ll look a bit more later but thought I would ask because someone has probably already done this. Big thing is I don’t want to migrate all these “unneeded” base copies around my network if I can prevent it.
