XCP-NG network issues after Xentools

Interesting problem and wondering if anyone has a solution (or why)…

After installing XenServer VM Tools for Windows (from “XenServer 8 and Trial Edition Downloads”) on a Windows 11 VM I find that downloading will stop after about 250K - remove the tools and no issues.

The host is a Minisforum BD790i - the VM has 4 processors and 8Gb RAM.

(for reference, downloading VLC from “Downloads - VideoLAN”)

Not something I have come across. Have you rebooted after the install?

I have not used that version of the tools on a new (24h2) win11 VM yet, i had no issues with v9.3.1 which was a couple years and of course older win11 version too.

I’ve tried rebooting a few times…

I looked at the product page and didn’t see one thing… Is this Intel or Realtek 2.5gbe? Pretty sure XCP-NG works with Realtek, but there is works and “works” and wondering if you are caught in this??? Otherwise that mainboard looks like a really good choice, especially if you went with the highest processor option.

Just to rule everything out, did you also try it with the XCP-ng tools?
