Looking for any ideas…
I’m trying to install XCP-NG on a new Minisforum BD790i (AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX). The system eventually has a kernel panic then reboots.
Same issue with both 8.2.1 and 8.3.2. I have 8.2.1 installed on a Ryzen 9 6900HX and a Ryzen 7 7735HS both without issue.
Proxmox VE 8.2-2 installs without issue.
Make sure you are using the latest 8.3 ISO image, but this is not an issue I have run into and I have been testing a lot of Ryzen based mini-pc’s. Try googling some of the text from the error messages.
Thanks Tom - It is the latest and am searching (I always try and search before posting anywhere).
I’ve seen a few ‘panic’ posts but all were regarding older ISOs, the solutions for those were, generally, updated images.
Got it to install.
Disabled PSS Support and the install proceeded.
Strange is that I’m sure I tried this already but maybe also disabled the NX Mode at the same time (thereby breaking the “only change one thing at a time” rule).
Glad it installed - hopefully this will help someone else at some point.
