XCP-NG - Host accessible from "XCP Center" but not from XOA

Curiousity with an XCP-NG host.

Starting to use an XCP-NG host again in Homelab mode. Host upgraded to XCP-NG v8.3. It starts up fine, with the text console showing all healthy.

I can connect to it from “XCP-ng Center” running on my laptop - so can start VMs, view the console etc. But cannot connect to it from XOA.

Edit: XO-Lite works fine too, both hosts,

I have second, more recently set up, XCP-NG host and I can connecct to that from both XCP-ng Center and XOA.

I have tried to connect to the problem Host with XOA running in Docker hosted on a different server - and XOA running as a VM on the problem Host.

Not a big deal, at a pinch I can just backup all the VMs to another storage, and recreate the XCP-NG instance from scratch.

Is there an error message? From that XO instance can you ping or get to that port of the XCP-ng Host?

Yeeah - all now working.

Really not sure what changed. On one the XOA instances which was not working I deleted the entry in the Servers list for the problem host, and re-entered its address and the root userid+password. And then it worked.

Not entirely sure what problem was - I had some issues with one of the NICs on the host which may have given a disconnect between configured network etc. That problem now seems to be resolved.

PS: I can recall sitting down on a couple of occasions to write a post about an ongoing problem. First I do try to do my homework, looking up existing FAQs, noting down all relevant info - what options already tried. And then it starts working - so actually never submitting the post.

This time I got a bit further down the asking for Help route - but still a good outcome.
