Internal IT department, around 180 endpoints including servers and clients. We are currently using WSUS but are looking for a replacement. WSUS is kinda shaky but we do like the ability to approve Windows updates by group, and do a staggered deployment which allows us to catch problems early before it affects the whole company.
We already use ConnectWise ScreenConnect so I have a call to discuss their Automate product. Any other suggestions?
@Greg_E is right to point out WSUS is going to be retired by Microsoft. Good job getting ahead of the curve on this one!
My organization uses a combination of NinjaOne and ConnectWise PSA. NinjaOne does all of our system patching and updating with defined reboot windows. On a basic level, it is clean and easy to use. There are advanced features to control your environment and is being updated every month.
A lot of people are using SCCM, which I believe is also deprecated but might be just a name change. MS really wants people on Intune and the βnewβ Configuration Manager
Even MDT is going away with Server 2025 and Windows 11, overall Microsoft just hates us and wants more subscription money!
