Windows server Active Directory Renaming Error

Hi,

I wanted to changed my Active Directory Domain name from nabptex.corp to ctvet.corp using windows powershell and following the url: https://newhelptech.wordpress.com/2017/06/25/step-by-step-how-to-rename-domain-name-in-windows-server-2016/

but I was successful until I got to the part where I had to run the gpfixup command (gpfixup /olddns:nabptex.corp /newdns:ctvet.corp) to fix the group policy management. There was also a windows pop up error stating NT5DS stopped working.
The powershell error is: Warning: Failed to write sysvol data for a Software Installation setting deployed at the following file system paths – this is only fatal if any these paths require a change due to a domain rename :
Warning: Failed to write sysvol data for a Software Installation setting with the following error : 80070057
The parameter is incorrect.

Please help me as all my clients are not able to contact the domain and I urgently need to resolve this.

Thanks in advance.
