VPN DNS Overriding WAN DNS Settings

Hello.

I have recently setup a VPN client on PfSense, all is working well and the VPN clients are using the VPN providers DNS servers as I explicitly set “Pull DNS” in the VPN client config.

However, I have an issue whereby my non VPN clients are no longer using my standard DNS setting of 1.1.1.1 and now everything going over my standard WAN is using the VPN DNS.

Please could someone give me some guidance on how to override that behaviour ?

What are you dns setting in DHCP and what are you using for the firewall for DNS?

Remove the pull dns settings from the vpn config, and enter the dns settings directly into the config on the vpn settings

What vpn are you using ?

I am using Pure VPN.

I could stop the “Pull DNS”, But how would I go about adding it to the config in the VPN settings ?
