If you decide to do a Mikrotik deep dive, what product are you going to use? I couldn’t immediately see which one you were holding in the post on Youtube. And I see the white faceplate in the thumbnail above.

Do you want any other models? I have a CRS 309-1g-8s+ that I can loan out if you want it. It might need the firmware updated though, but maybe a good thing to show people what’s involved in the process.

I also have a CRS 326-24s+2q+, but that’s currently in use. I can gather anything you want tested and record the screen while testing. Currently the 2 QSFP+ ports are broken out into eight 10g ports because that’s what I have, and a bunch of 1.25g modules. Mix of DAC and fiber, but I do have a single 10Gtek 10gbase-t module installed. Did you know that a simple 14x14mm stick on heat sink makes a huge difference in temperature?

I would be really interested in you thoughts on their 8POE+ with 8POE++ switch, though what I really need is a 2.5g with POE++ and 10g or 40g “uplinks”. Yes sometimes I’ll want to power 60 watt (rated) PTZ cameras for production, would be handy for other things I might want to power like POE++ to 5/12/19 volts DC for a mini PC or older PTZ cameras (or both since that’s a workflow for me).

Anything that I can help with, let me know.

I have a few laying around and might pickup one more but my overview will be more general to how their product works.
