Only because of the GUI and bloatware running on it. L4 FW’s are basically the same at their core. L7 FW’s are sort of cool if you assume some level of control over all endpoint devices all the time. {cough}

Perimeter security is just less relevant today. The industry is working hard to keep it relevant and the costs ever rising. Got to have a “modern FW” that only costs a few hundred bucks a year to keep “up to date”. And at that low price pay for it with a smile cause the alternative is far more expensive.
