I bought a network card for my pfSense Router so I didn’t have to trunk the connection anymore however my vlan 30 does not work. It picks up an IP but when I try to load a web page it just says “No Internet” the other 2 of my VLANS work fine 10 and 90.
This happens when connected to the switch and the APs. Following products used;
TP LINK TL-WA801ND x2
TP LINK SG108E
Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p (with intel and belkin ethernet cards)
Could anyone help?
Try double checking your NAT outbound rules, if all your kit is working ok. If that is ok, then it’s an error in the vlan config on your switch.
Hi thanks for the help here is 2 screen shots of the NAT Outbound and the Firewall settings of the VLAN. I don’t know what to look for in the NAT outbound area so help would be appreciated;
NAT: https://gyazo.com/f4eaa322a81d588b5d16c3a9d5ea5cd7
FIREWALL: https://gyazo.com/d9ba17e9972fcf645a388932cfe118e5
INTERFACE: https://gyazo.com/481776652bca9a4b892fbc780b803546
VLAN CONFIG: https://gyazo.com/ff2c440fcbfa9a4016f2fb06a9e5dc7d
It’s tricky to troubleshoot another network, but, I’m never that sure what these auto generated rules do. I’d suggest that you disable them, set the Outbound NAT Mode to manual and create your own rule. That way you can do things step by step to see that the traffic will flow.
Actually i meant check that you have configured the vLan for your ports correctly on your switch.
If the other other vLans work ok, it looks like a config issue.
Where are you doing your VLAN tagging? If each firewall interface has it’s own physical port, I would expect this to happen on the switch.
