Virtualized pfsense not showing AES-NI support in Virtualbox

I have been using Virtualbox 6.1.16 and it has been running a virtualized pfsense very nicely.

My CPU i5-4670 supports AES-NI but pfsense shows:

Intel® Core™ i5-4670 CPU @ 3.40GHz
2 CPUs: 1 package(s) x 2 core(s)
AES-NI CPU Crypto: No <<===========

Is this a pfsense setting or an issue with Virtualbox not recognizing AES hw support? Seems that there was a VB bug to this effect a while back. Also is this an issue I should be concerned about?

Thanks in advance for any info.

I have not tried using pfsense in Virtualbox in a number of years, try their either Netgate or Virtualbox forums.

SOLVED - Turns out that the Paravirtualization setting (SETTINGS | SYSTEM | ACCELERATION) for the Guest OS needs to be set (in the case of pfsense and Linux) to KVM to access the AES HW Support. Thank you again.
