My Unifi experience can be measured in weeks, so I’m not sure how intuitively obvious this might be.
What I’d be interested in learning would be how I can turn on, or turn off my Unifi Protect indoor cameras based on whether or not my phone, or my wife’s phone is connected to the Unifi network. If we’re home, we don’t need to record inside. If we’re away, an inside view could be handy.
I did just manage to connect my UCG to Home Assistant, but have not done anything in Home Assistant with anything Unifi. Maybe a helper could be active or not active based on whether or not a particular phone is active within Unifi? I don’t know if this is something that could be done entirely within Unifi.
