Need some help guys. I’m having a massive brain fart on how to configure the ip’s needed to setup failover from Cox and Verizon.
My Lan is 192.168.1.1. The Verizon Internet (Cell based) default gateway is the same. How do y’all recommend I get this configured?
The modem Verizon is using is the Verizon Internet Gateway WNC CR200A
The ip conflict part is what is screwing with me.
Why not change the IP address of your LAN to 192.168.10.1, or something like that? I am not familiar with the Verizon product, I use the Tmobile 5G home internet, and it defaults to an IP address that doesn’t conflict for me.My Xfinity cable modem passes a public IP to pfsense, so no conflict there either.
In pfSense, go to “interfaces” and select “LAN”. You can change the IP address there. Just be sure to adjust the default gateway on your connected devices to reflect the new IP address.
Also make sure “Block private networks” is not chacked on your WAN interface or it won’t connect to the Verizin box.
