I am upgrading Netgate devices for a couple reasons. However, I’m running into a problem with transferring the config. Once I have backed up the SG1100 and restored to the 2100, it doesn’t allow me to access the web interface. I have watched one of Tom’s videos on how to backup and restore pfsense, but he doesn’t go into detail. He says pfsense will ask questions to align network interfaces, but I can’t even get into the web interface. He mentions editing config file, but that was a little confusing. Can anyone give some guidance to make the 2100 work without having to configure all my setting by hand.
You’ll need to connect to it via console cable and putty into it to complete the migration process. You will see the prompts to select the interfaces you are talking about.
