UniFi USW 24 POE Switch

I’m currently facing several issues and have performed a factory rest multiple times. My “new” network is comprised of AT&T Fiber internet => Netgate 2100 running pfSense+ => UniFi USW 24 POE switch. I currently running the October 8th release of UniFi Network Server on a Windows 10 Pro.
I configured the LAN interface with 192.168.49.0/24 and the switch picked up a DHCP lease address. I adopted the switch and then changed to a static IP address to 192.168.49.3. The switch converted the address and I was able to ping the new IP address.
The first issue is on every screen that shows the Native VLAN / Network address, it shows 192.168.1.0/24 which is UniFi’s default IP. Instead of the actual IP address of 12.168.49.0/24. I can’t locate anywhere to change that setting. This may be causing some of the issues.
The next is issue is that only ports 1 – 8 are allowing “ANY” traffic to pass through. Ports 8 – 24 can’t reach a DHCP server to obtain an IP Address. I physically moved a computer with a continuous ping from port to port to verify. The details of every port are identical.
The last issue is that although I have all of the VLANS named the same and tag numbers the same, I can’t get the switch to recognize any of them other than the default Network. None of the videos online are at least a year or more older, so the process and screen shots aren’t the same.

Thus, I currently have port as my uplink, port 3 for the AP 6 Lite, port 5 for the computer communicating with the pfSense+ and the UniFi Network app.

Maybe this will help.

I’ve watched this video multiple times; however, it doesn’t cover the issue of why the Network app (Windows) shows the Native Network as 192.168.1.0/24 instead of the 192.168.49.0/24 which is the LAN Address assigned in pfSense+. When I adopted the switch. the Switch picked up a DHCP lease from the correct network scheme. Then I changed the switch to statically to 192.168.49.3 and can be pinged from all other computers on the network. The video also doesn’t show how to configure the non-working ports 9 - 24 on the UniFi USW 24POE switch. All of the ports show to be configured the same with the “Native” LAN address of 192.168.1.0/24.

I was hoping that someone would explain how how to Connect to the switch via SSH and what commands to run to reset all of the ports and correct the Network “Native” IP address to the correct 192.168.49.0/24.

I have multiple screen captures, but didn’t see a link to attach them.

I was going to contact the Lawrence Support team; however, the form never loads up to fill in the details.

It shows that because if you were using a UniFi router that would be the IP range, but since you are using pfsense the IP range is what you set it in pfsense. If 192.168.49.0/24 is the native on pfsense and UniFi it will pull those as the default on those ports.

If you are running the latest conroller software there is an option when you go into “Settings” then “Network” to change the range, but as noted, it does not do anything since you are not using a UniFi router.

On my sites Hire Us page there is a note that says “This is a HubSpot form, click here if you are having trouble viewing it.” because some people block HubSpot

your switch is a layer 2 device, it does not really care about the IP address shown in the Network app, so don’t worry about that.

what is relevant to the switch is what you assign to the port’s native traffic and vlans you assign to the tagged traffic. any IP addresses shown in the Network app are irrelevant as long as you are not using a Unifi router.
