We have multiple sites and we are going to standardize our network equipment for easier management.
On our site we have around 40 switches (mostly cisco and some hp devices), we are allready running unifi access points.
My question:
I was thinking of replacing everyhting by unifi switches but now i here from a co-worker in another site who has allready unifi switches they have regular problems between some switches after a power outage … the sfp links are down and don’t come up when the power restores (person is less technical skilled).
There supplier told them this is a long known problem so other co-workers are being critical about my deciscion to replace everything with unifi switches over time…
The did some googling and found lots of subjects with these kind of problems …
So that is why i ask if someone has experience with these kind of problems? On our site allmost everything protected by a ups but this is not the case on most of the other sites.
So that will be a problem especially because on some sites a power outage happens more then we would like …
