Unifi Network Controller Updates

I have a Unifi Network Controller on Vultr. Works perfectly…no issues.
I receive the Unifi Community updates notices regularly via email about the latest update (as of this writing ver: 9.3.29). I periodically apply these updates via the instructions provided in this link: https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/220066768-Updating-and-Installing-Self-Hosted-UniFi-Network-Servers-Linux

Having done this a few times, I have noticed that it never updates to the actual latest version as stated in the notices. Like today the notice states the current version is: 9.3.29. When I run the update via the instructions in the link I get 9.2.87. After a successful update I ran the update process again, thinking maybe it will upgrade to the latest version, but it states that 9.2.87 is the latest version.

My questions are:

  • Do I need to be concerned that my updates are always a few versions back?
  • Is there a way to get to the actual latest version, and…
  • Should I bother about it.

P.S. Even in the Network Controller…System…Check for Updates…states that there are no new updates available.

P.S.S…After I posted this I decided to check the Unifi Downloads section and see that 9.2.87 is the latest, and reviewing my email, I see there are tags in the notice that it is the Beta channel…we that explains it…duh!

Thanks all.
