hello,
We will be looking to install the starter kit at our location and I was trying to see if this can be “powered” by another electrical source if we don’t have a switch with PoE ++ (802.3bt)?

If you do not have a Poe ++ bt capable switch, you could try a Poe++ injector. Not sure I would recommend that, if you are investing in the access equipment, invest in a small Poe++ switch also unless your plan is to expand the. It would be worth going to regular 24/48 switch with poe++.
Depending on the door type the latch mechanism (if not using a maglock) can cost nearly as much as the access kit it self.
Kind regards
Thank you for the reply. I believe we will only have the one door. No plans at this time to expand out.
