Unifi DHCP reservations - only inside the DHCP range?

I am new to UCG and coming from pfsense I wanted to continue my scheme of using 100-254 for clients and 2-99 for servers. Static mappings in pfsense made that a breeze.
I thought Unifi static IPs in the client list would be the same, but ran into trouble trying to set static IPs below the range and Unifi support confirmed that this is not supported.
I am running version 4.3.6 and network 9.3.43.

How do you guys do this and is there a way to edit the list manually (like the client list)?
I guess one way to solve it would be to have a DHCP range of 2-254, but that would introduce clutter (at least in my head)…

I am running the same version and I am able to set static IP’s outside the range.

Hmm. That’s what I thought too. I was very surprised to get the answer from Unifi Support.
I will dig around some more and maybe try on a different config. Thanks for confirming Tom!

I did restart the unit and after that I could add the reservations - order restored :slight_smile:
