So where does the UDM/UDM SE/UDMP fit in with all this? Thats where I’m confused.
Do the cloud gateways and the UDMs support Netflow?

They are the higher end models as mentioned in the video and yes they all support Netflow.

Is it possible to L3 adopt Access Points on a UCG-Ultra?
I have an external location with two AP’s I want to adopt.

The Cloud Gateways DO NOT support multi site management.

One thing I didn’t read anywhere and found out the hard way is that none of the cloud gateways (at least the low cost) support STP or RSTP on its switching part (I don’t know about the high end dream machines).

I live in a large apartment and wired it before I moved in (almost 30 years ago) with cat5 from what was then my desk (now my wife’s desk).

Now my desk is elsewhere (where I have 1 cable from the star center) so I have a small switch here. I also have a switch in the living room to connect the TV, a small factor computer I use for media, a home theater and an access point.

However, using the UDR I bought intended as gateway, access point for my wife desk and core switch is prone to creating switching loops, so Ubiquiti’s tech support recommended I get a proper switch connected to the UDR tu function as core switch, loosing the simplicity of having only one device that could feed (and power, since the UDR had 2 PoE ports) the 2 little switches I have in my desk and in the living room.

Switches (or at least higher quality ones) don’t create loops on their own.
