Unifi and windows AD

I have a small windows network running AD for authentication. Since I put my unifi controller in, which is set at the DHCP server and the DNS server, users are getting the error saying the domain does not exist when they attempt to authenticate to AD.

the local domain is added in the the DNS record in the unifi controller.

What might I be missing? Any help is welcome thank you

You cannot use the UniFi DNS. You have to set your DHCP setting to use the DNS of your AD servers IP.
