Are there known issues with the topology view in UCG-MAX? I see only Ubiquiti devices but none of my other devices. I’m using Network Version 10.0.162 on my UGC-MAX
Is the USW-Pro directly connected to the UCG-Max?
As for non-Ubiquiti devices, they will show up if:
A) they are advertising themselves via LLDP
B) They are connected to a USW. The UCG’s (and UDM’s, etc) don’t listen for LLDP.
Yes, the USW-Pro is direct connected to the UCG-Max. The client devices are connected to the USW-Pro
Well, that’s weird, but also your Network version (10.0.162) is a bit on the old side as far as Unifi goes (yes, 6 months is considered old for this brand) and I’m guessing your firmware version for the UCG-Max is at least as old as well. I don’t know that it’ll fix your topology but there have been a lot of critical CVE’s lately so you should upgrade, starting with the UCG-Max firmware.

Many thanks. You hit the point. After upgrading the Software, the topology looks much better, but still not correct, i.e. Client devices connected to the Firewall, which is not the case in the real world. Still room for improvement.
Sometimes the topology will show client connected to the firewall if they have an unexpired ARP entry but their MAC table entry on the AP/switch has expired. Or the Network Application hasn’t gotten the message from the switch/APs that the MAC is in their table. Are those firmwares up to date also?
Thanks - yes, all Firmware should be the latest - Meanwhile, the topology has only some minor issues - so I can live with that.
