Truenas SCALE random reboots

I was getting random reboots on my NAS build so i did a hardware refresh changing my system and new/compatible hardware to an
HP Z640 workstation
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2640 v4 @ 2.40GHz
32GB ram

i did a fresh install of the TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.0 version.

I have one app running UNIFI and one VM running Plex

Still getting the random restarts every night no issues with the boot pool

Random reboots are usually a hardware issues.

this is the second computer I’ve transferred my hard drives to still receiving the same issue. two different systems only thing in common is the hard drives. the drives are less than 6 months old NAS drives so i don’t think it could be that. is there a way to find the logs that are persistent through a reboot that would tell me what happened right before the reboot?

Have it send the data to a syslog server.

can i make that folder on the nas itself or does it have to be a different machine.

By default all the system system logs are located under /var/log but you can send them to an external server in case the last logs are not getting written out.
