So newb question. I’m pretty familiar with the ins and outs of TrueNAS Core and ZFS, but I’ve not used Scale yet. If I want to switch over to Scale, can I just install it on my boot device? Like will my pool just import? I expect I’d have to setup my shares and such again.

They have a migration option where you can do an in place upgrade from Core to Scale. The pool will import, the shares will work but if you have any jails they will not work.
