Video request for setting truenas interfaces. I have no trouble with my synology nas using separate vlans but the truenas is not working for me. The global config uses a single defaut gateway but I want the interfaces on different vlans with different gateways? Anyway the setup and test interface is obtuse to me and a tutorial would be helpful. My truenas has 4 interfaces and I’ve had to use the console (only basic understanding) to repair locking myself out a few times.
You can setup other interfaces to be in other subnets physically or build a VLAN interface but there is only one gateway that allows routed traffic.
But you don’t need a gateway to have connectivity in the other VLANs or subnets. All the devices withing that same broadcast network will be able to reach the TrueNAS.
