Truenas Fangtooth VM migration nightmare

Hello all!

Did anyone managed to migrate their VMs? It seems no matter what i choose for the storage backend (nvme/blk/scsi) all i get is a hung on boot (windows) or no boot at all with "failed to boot massages on the vnc console…

Id appreciate any help at this point, not in the mood for re-creating 12 or so VMs from scratch…

Fang tooth instances are still experimental. I would expect bugs and issues still.

Sure experimental suggests problems, but not total and utter breakage.
As a workaround i installed tn24 in a VM and replicated the VM disks from the host into a pool inside the VM. Then use clonezilla (remote feature over the network) to get the images onto the new VM platform. IDK if it will work clonezilla still chewing on the 1st VM. As for the mentioned breakage, one VM disk that booted fine on tn24 now shows up empty after imported(clone) into incus. Luckily its just a game server but still…

/edit
And found a 2nd vm disk that lost the partition table…
