I have an interesting issue that I will be troubleshooting remotely either tonight or tomorrow but wanted some ideas from others. I have a Netgate 6100 that is being used as the router/gateway with the Aruba Instant ON series switches. The staff have informed me that when their laptop is plugged into the network their network shares work, if they move to the wifi connection the shares do not. The LAN and Wifi network share the same subnet and I’ve confirmed whether the PC is on the LAN or the wifi connection it does get the correct subnet. Just curious what I possibly did incorrectly prior to actually troubleshooting.
Most likely they are not the same network or it is and some host isolation settings have been turned on for the WiFi. Or as in a case we had, they were connecting to an adjacent office with an open network.
Thank you. I have asked them to create a mapped drive with the IP and see if its accessible in the meantime before I can really dig in.
