TP-Link Wireless router with pfSense

I have a TP-Link Wireless Router that I have kicking around and want to use it in my home lab.
I have a pfSense assigned VLAN for the TP-Link router.

Do I setup the TP-Link router as regular AP and connect it to the pfSense network VLAN on my switch and DISABLE the TP-Links DHCP server then change its IP address to a static one on the same subnet as my TP-Link VLAN and plug in and it should work ?

If it’s anything like the Asus routers I had, you ought to be able to put in Access Point mode and it will allocate IPs on the vlan it’s on. Putting it in AP mode should disable DHCP etc. then just plug into your switch.

correct, say you have a VLAN30 10.0.30.*/24

configure the router as AP, give it 10.0.30.1, disable DHCP and you’re good.

I have 2 AP’s like that on my network.
