I should update my lab today or tomorrow, have some desktop fixes to work on first.

I’m really interested in the adding disks to a vdev, I generally don’t need to do this, but something nice to play with incase needs change.

Also, is it possible to “shrink” the number of disks? Say I have eight 500gb drives, can I shrink it to four 1tb drives? then expand back out to six 1tb drives later, and then expand back out again to eight 1tb drives? I’m thinking of test cases that I might be able to perform because I have eight 500gb drives installed, and have eight or ten 1tb drives I could install for testing this feature.

As far as I know this allow only for expansion, not contraction of VDEVs.

Still a big plus going forward.
