Not sure why this is happening. Syncthing is spinning up 2 daemons. First it was only systemd starting both up… then I disabled it and them had syncthing-gtk start up the daemon on startup… but that also starts 2 daemons. If I tell it to stop the daemon it stops both and then when I ask it to resume… it start both again.
Is this ok? seems wrong.
syncthing v1.29.7
Linux Mint 22.1
linux 6.8.0-59-generic
This is a dumb question. I’m trying to understand what to use for what conditions and workflows. When to use Syncthing vs Nexcloud vs vpn access to file server? does it depend on needing offline or size of file or how many files at once. etc. I know there are lots of combinations and maybe I’m just installing stuff without have a problem to solve with it. The learning journey has been fun. Love your videos.
You probably have Cinnamon startup entry along with systemd service. Go to Cinnamon control panel and check Startup Applications. If its there, remove it. You can also try and disable systemd service and see what happens.
