Tom…Would it be possible to do a Youtube video showing home lab install of pfsense with single NIC pc, TP-Link managed router, regular home wireless router (TP-Link) and PfSense…or some other similar setup?

You just need to setup vlans with a switch. Though I’m sure your throughput must be half.

Definitely not worth it for your main router.

If you want to play with pfSense you can virtualise it.

Think I will stick with a bare minimum system with 2 NIC’s

If running gigabit Internet, a single NIC with 2 VLANs halfs the NIC total throughput.
