SMB Issue after TrueNAS Core to Scale Migration (Resolved)

I finally decided to upgrade to TrueNAS Scale. I went the in-place upgrade to 24.04 route, with the intention of updating to 24.10 afterwards (haven’t done this part yet). Everything went well enough. No errors during the upgrade or anything. There is one issue though, and it’s with SMB shares.

Previously on Core, I had some accounts, enabled for ‘Microsoft authentication’, which is apparently no longer supported (must have missed aspect this repeatedly during my planning). No biggie though. From my primary PC, I’m able to access any/all SMB shares that I could previously by using the actual account creds as they exist in TrueNAS (not the MS Account UPN format which was used previously).

The issue is if I try to access the any share from a second PC. I get the below error:

\NAS_Name\share_name is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.

I’m pretty stumped on this one. Obviously the credentials work as my main PC has no issue using them. In fact, it doesn’t seem to matter what account creds I try. All the clients mentioned are Windows 10.

Never had this with Core, ever.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Disregard. I figured out the issue.

I had to clear an old MS account credential from the Credential Manager that was still configured from when MS Auth worked. Deleting the stored credential and restarting the host resolved the issue.

I’ll leave this up for anyone else who may encounter the same issue
