Have heard a lot of fuzz about this new pin in Signal, don’t really annoys me from a user standpoint, but can confirm it’s a downside for general users. But what really concerns me it’s the security side, with it they store your contacts or some kind of information in their servers?

For this “Your profile, settings, and contacts will restore when you reinstall Signal.” to happen they have to be stored in the cloud, and that’s, in my opinion, what should bean an opt in feature. Signal being US based means the gov can ask for them to handle over the user data.
