Thanks for the tutorial. What is the proper way to upgrade the UniFi Network Application Controller once you have it setup on the VM? How often do you recommend to upgrade?

Thanks Paul but I try to avoid relying on scripts like that. When I followed Lawrence video to install the controller, I manually ran the commands that were in his script. I took a look at the update script in the link you provided and is pretty long and hard to follow. Makes me cautious if it can be trusted.

I backed up my VM and did standard terminal update commands and it seemed to work well. My VM OS and Unifi controller are both updated and I was able to reboot without any issues. I ran:

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

Seemed to easy, makes we wonder if I’m missing anything.

The scripts can be trusted, AmazedMender16 works for Unifi

The scripts also updates all the dependencies - i.e. when mangodb was upgraded to the next release

A little confused about the Unify ecosystem. I ordered a Cloud Gateway Max. Doesn’t it already have the network controller?
