Reolink camera SSL setup

I am wondering if anyone had any luck setting up either their own self signed or 3rd party SSL cert on Reolink cameras?

I got RLC-811A camera and latest firmware contains a cert issued by “test” for “test” lol

I am wondering if there is a way to embed my own cert. Or if people generally do not bother with this stuff and run cams in separate subnet with no access to enything (no internet or other subnets)

Thanks for the feedback.

I generally don’t bother and they are on a separate network with no internet access.

Thanks Tom. Really appreciate the feedback.

How do you get synology to trust (or not verify) the self signed certificate of the reolink camera? I’m on day two of setting up my DVA1622. Two RLC-511Ws connected fine over http. But my Duo did a redirect to https which presented the cert and the synology rejected the connection.

I found the Reolink reddit info on the firmware update to cameras that changes the camera port configuration:

Why Do I Fail to Access the Camera via the Web Browser or Connect to the Third-Party Software after Upgrading My Smart Cameras with the Latest Firmware v.3.1.0764/v.3.1.0804?

You can click on this article to find the answer, https://bit.ly/3uBYPLk.

The instructions say there should be an advanced tab on the network settings to control the config but I don’t see it in my android app. I opened a ticket with Reolink for support.
