Good morning, so out of the blue today, staff cannot access our remote site thru VPN, as well the remote site phones are no longer communicating back to our PBX, so traffic has seemed to have halted. Unfortunately I cannot use my VPN to access the PfSense firewall on the remote side to check their logs. The remote side itself, everything is working, now the weird thing is aside from no VPN access or VoIP communication we cannot access a cloud based site that resides in the same State, I assume. I have combed the logs on our firewall and nothing is popping out, I did however, hotspot my laptop and was able to bring up the cloud website and do now see some of my remote PC’s through some administration remote software. So it seems bypassing my ISP and firewall does resolve one issue but for the life of me can’t figure out what else to look at. Is it the ISP having routing issues, did the Pfsense block out IP address or is our local firewall having a glitch. Any advise?
If the ISP is having issue, only way to find out contact them - would say isp issue
Does the ISP have a status page, you can look at ?
PFSense does not block ports
Have you rebooted the pfsense device
Any chance the site’s public IP has changed? That could account for both the pbx and vpn outages, depending how you have things set up. And, of course, from the inside, internet traffic would work normally.
