I’m relatively new to XCP and XoA and when we established a three-host identical setup. XoA was installed and a couple of VMs were already created. When we upgraded to 8.3, and after restarts, the master (host3) lost its connection to host1 and host2. I noticed on the console of each slave host that the management interfaces are gone.
I had back and forth emails and opened tunnels with their support team, which we purchased along with XOSTOR license and until now we haven’t resolved this issue.
Right now, I tried their (host1 & host2) configuring old IPs back to its xapi interface and I was able to ping the master host (host 3).
When the master host goes down you can promote one of the other hosts to become master. From there you can eject the broken host, wipe it, reload it, and have it join again.
Have you done an emergency network reset from the local console? After this you should be able to set the IP for the management interface aqain and everything should work. If not, then time for Tom’s solution of promote controller, remove and wipe hosts.
I’ve done emergency network reset on the two slave hosts. The management interfaces are not visible using xconsole… I was able to configure IP addresses on their xapi interface. But i’m stuck on how to add these back to the pool.
