Quick Pfsense lan reconfig

Trying to get a local non profit setup for working remotely, I want to change their network from a 192.168.1.x to a non default network (ex 192.168.77.x) . Would pulling a backup, doing a find/replace 192.168.1 to 192.168.77 on the xml and then restoring , make all the necessary changes in one quick step.

Only one LAN network and OpenVPN configured.

It should work, but if they have a simple setup I would just do it via the interface so you are less likely to make a mistake.

Thanks Tom. Had/has about 50 statically assigned IPs so I made 2 backups and edited one, I tried it and it worked.

@sbweb77,

I wish I had thought of that recently. In order to use a Dualcomm network TAP and a UniFi switch mirror port on different NICs with Security Onion, I had to switch from using four NICs on my Qotom box down to three (going from two NICs to four was super easy). It took a couple of hours to fix everything that got broken in process, the worst being having to re-enter a lot of static DHCP mappings.
