Program (preferably FOSS) to make a short animated intro for videos

Hey guys,

I am looking for something to make a short opening animated clip for some videos I’m making. I have never done any animation type stuff before and don’t really know exactly what I want to do but I am envisaging 4 or 5 “bits” of my logo flying onto screen and forming up in the center.

I think (but am not sure) that the go to would be Adobe Illustrator but I like FOSS and don’t want to pay Adobe if I can avoid it, especially for a one off short clip.

Any ideas?

Free Davinci Resolve through the fusion tab, or free open source Blender.
