Problem adding WIFI to Netgate SG 1100

I just configured my NETGATE SG-1100 and created my lan2 and vlan, i tried to add my old router to the opt-lan2 to get WiFi, I am using a Motorola mr-2600, I’m not sure if this router will work as an access point it is not as configurable as some other older routers that you can easily set to bridged mode and disable dhcp ect…, I think i may buy an access point and plug it into the opt-lan2 port. I am new to this so any ideas?

Have you tried plugging it into a switch ?

Bin the old router, and use a proper wireless access point
