It is only human to get comfortable with the easy default big name options like either Google or Microsoft’s “Authenticator” app.

Does anyone have an recommendations for [?free?] open source alternative “authenticator” apps for: iOS, Android, and Windows?

I was surprised to find few options for Windows based “Authenticator” apps

for desktop cross platform: KeepassXC
for mobile: Strongbox (even the free version is feature-laden and also does OTP)

On Android, I use Aegis.
