Pi-hole v6.0 was just released, with major UI and technical improvements

Hello all. This is my first post on Lawrence Systems Forums; thank you for hosting this community and allowing me to participate. I am a fan of the YouTube channel, which is how I was introduced to this website.

Along those lines, about four hours ago the folks over at Pi-hole released version 6.0; with major user interface and functional/technical improvements.

Here is a link to the release notes on GitHub. After installing the new version on my Raspberry Pi 5, I am met with these new features (as well as many others):

The new performance metrics/labels in the upper left corner are especially interesting in my opinion.

I am grateful for the Pi-hole tool, and look forward to seeing how this homelab utility continues to evolve over time. Do you use Pi-hole?

I might spin up a vm and test pi-hole again. I currently run adguard and it runs pretty well for me. It would be nice to reevaluate though.

It’s a good update. I have been in the beta for 6.0 for a long time. I run it in a LXC container under proxmox and really never had any issues except that the API has changed, and any API integrations have to be re-written.
