I can’t seem to update PFSense anymore … huh ?
current version is 2.4.4 (I googled), so is mine refusing to update although it’s only 2.4.2 ?
how weird is that ?
have I done something wrong ?

If your system will not update, check the DNS settings and make sure pfsense can reach the pfsense site for the updates.

doesn’t this prove that it reaches the pfsense site ?
how else could it get this info ?

I would backup and reload it
rebooted but wouldn’t restart … crashed …
re-installed and restored the settings …
now first giving it a few days to see if it’s stable again
then continue the vlan and vpn configurations …
