pfSense no internet in OPT interface

Hello There:

I am new to pfSense, after setting up the device following the videos and tutorials from YouTube, I can’t connect to the internet services from the OPT interface.

  • Firewall rules are in place to allow traffic in the WAN & OPT
  • NAT /Outbound is showing the address of the interface in the auto created mappings.
  • Can Ping the LAN, Gateway, and WAN.
  • From the Graph view in the dashboard, there seems to be traffic in; but not out.

I have follow old threads from this forum and Netgate, but I have been unable to find the solution to the issue.
I hope someone can provide some assistance in this matter.
Thanks in advance!

This should help if you haven’t already seen it.

I think you need to create a bridge that includes the LAN and OPT ports.

https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/bridges/create.html

No, a bridge is not needed. But I do cover what is needed in the video posted.

Thanks for the fast reply, and the interesting video!
But, i think perhaps i miss communicated the issue.
The device has been reinstalled, so we are talking about an out of the box experience and with basic configs.
