I dont know if it is my equipment that just seems delayed on applying firewall rules, but for example i created a rule to block port 443 to the network interface itself and it would continue to work and then after a moment it would then start to block… id delete the rule and it would go back to normal and work again… i create the same rule that appears to work and it would not begin to work right away. also then i create a rule to stop traffic from one network to the other and it just has never worked i will post both pictures to see if there is something you guys could point out that im doing wrong.
Rules apply at the speed that the hardware can handle and state tables that are in use when the rule is created will still exist and will continue to work until they expire The rule will prevent new states from being created.
