pfSense error.. Unable to retrieve package information

Hi Folks :slight_smile:

I just got some time to start testing pfSense in a VM to evaluate if it is something for me. :slight_smile:

When i go in to packet manager and click on Available packages i get an error.
(Unable to retrieve package information)
When i check for system update, i get a green (up to date) so it seems have some sort of connection to the update repo at least.

Is this a common phenomenon that the packet manager gets this error?

This is not common. Something seems to be off in your installation. Because this is a VM it could be something unexplainably weird.

Try and run the follow command in the console

pkg-static install -fy pkg pfSense-repo pfSense-upgrade

Reboot is under Diagnostic, not under system.
